We have made a good start to the month of August and just as quietly as we can
the greenkeepers notice that the holidays are over and that more and more players are coming
on the field again. Matches and events are lined up and the field is ready.<\/p>\n
Track work in August:<\/p>\n
Week 33: Greens are being cut vertically. Expect minor disruption to
the playing surface in the early morning hours.<\/p>\n
Week 34: Greens topdresses. Expect some difference in the playing surface going forward.

We completed our reseeding of greens in July. It was successful with
a really good germination. Originally this operation was planned for August,
but the \u201csilence\u201d in July gave us the opportunity to advance this so
as few as possible of our members and guests should experience uneven and slow
greens. As always, this kind of work on the greens and especially the time it takes
greens to recover, some noise on the terrace. It has done that this time too.
But the work is necessary if we are to maintain strong, healthy and playable
greens. Greenkeepers can't do magic and we don't poke big holes in the greens
to generate some players or because we think it's nice to be
spoken badly about. We take care of the course and we take care of our work. Greensspeed has
been back to our normal for a while, i.e. on days when we cut and
drums they roll on average 9.5 on the stymp. There is plenty of everything on this track
and with our greens. \u00a0<\/p>\n
We are in full swing with our recurring iron project on the field. The scorching
of the clover leaves does not kill the clover plant, but weakens it, which gives
grass a small competitive advantage for a period of time. It doesn't look pretty,
but that is the tool we have the opportunity to use.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Feedback from players regarding our new bunker sand on the 12th hole has
been positive, but please continue to give comments. This sand can
very well end up being the sand we will use in the future.<\/p>\n
The weather is beautiful and there is a nice balance between temperature and humidity.
