This means that the greenkeepers&#039; behavior on the course is approaching the maintenance schedule. We have started mowing the fairways again and maybe also semi-rough one day and fertilizing the fairways has resumed.<\/p>\n<p>Players using our new tap at the 10th tee have noticed that water is no longer flowing from the tap. This is because the pump for the irrigation system that supplies the water to the tap has broken. The pump will be pulled out in week 36 and is expected to be repaired and reinstalled by the end of September.<\/p>\n<p>September is traditionally a very busy month for greenkeepers as the relationship between soil moisture and temperature is perfect for good grass germination when reseeding. At the same time, September is filled with tournaments and club championships so it requires coordination to ensure both playing pleasure and work productivity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following is the plan for September and the last week of August:<\/p>\n<p>Late August: preparation for this year&#039;s men&#039;s open day and club championship qualification. Greens topdresses and bunkers are prepared.<\/p>\n<p>Week 36: Greens are being pricked and reseeded. Expect relatively severe disruptions to the quality of play in the first part of the week.<\/p>\n<p>Week 37: Par 3 course greens and tees are patched.
