This year's Social Pairs tournament, mixed Irish Twosome, was held in the most beautiful sunny weather with a light wind - the perfect golfing weather.
28 couples participated in Saturday's tournament. It was a super nice day, just like it should be for a social tournament. A lot of people gathered after the round on the terrace, where there was free wine tasting from Premier Cru and that always creates a pleasant atmosphere. The tournament offered challenges in the form of the tournament requiring concentration from the participants. Who should hit now, and is it your ball or mine that is in play? The challenge of having scores on par 3 holes multiplied by 2 gave the tournament management some food for thought when the result was entered into Golfbox.
Today's sponsor was House of Excellence, a very big thank you for the great prizes.
Winners: 1. Mark Shedel / Helen Vang Siegumfeldt 56 p. 2. Beritt Skeel-Gjørling / Steen Brok-Lauridsen 50 p. 3. Anita Näsberg / Jesper Knudsen 50 p. 4. Anne Victor / Hans Victor 49 p. 5. Jannie Steffen / Nikolai Becker Steffen 48 p. 6. Anne-Mette Bendix Majgaard / Arve Sund 48 p. The 5th place winners were not present at the prize presentation, so 6th place received the prize.

2-balls until 8:30
The board and management of KGK have decided that from the time the course opens in the morning until 8:30, the times will be reserved for 1- and 2-balls. Therefore, 2 FICTITIOUS green fee players have been deployed at all those times. However, this does not mean that they are booked, so you can safely book yourself at the times. We encourage members who want to play alone or in a 2-ball to use that time period.

Look forward to a lovely tapas plate that is perfect for sharing over a glass of wine in good company, or our new bane sandwich with spicy Italian salami and aioli. YUM! Since we would really like to hear our members' opinions on what you miss on the restaurant menu and what things you would like more of, we will soon be releasing a short questionnaire that we would appreciate your completing. Thank you.

The day started with beautiful sunshine, almost no wind and very, very cold, but spirits were high among the players in attendance.
61 players showed up for the first tournament of the year, which was played in 3 rows, A, B and C. The course was in great shape and the players enjoyed the fact that it was the first day with summer greens on the entire course and without mats. However, there were some who had to get used to playing without a mat.
Today's sponsor was, as usual, Rotunden Hellerup, a big thank you for the great prizes.
Winners: The A-row: 1 – John K. Eriksen – 38p 2 – Hans Victor – 36p 3 – Peer Ericson – 36p 4 – Claus Jannik Ipsen – 35p 5 – William Helmbæk – 34p

Magnus has had a fantastic season, including a 4th place in the Junior Championship and a 6th place in the Senior Championship. Magnus has also played his first season as a national team player on the Boys' National Team. Well done Magnus.
On Monday, November 15, 2021, the following rules will be introduced for play on the golf course:
Mat order. Golfers bowl Use a mat when hitting golf shots from tees, fairways, semirough, forgreens and green surroundings.
In the event of weather conditions such as frost, persistent snow cover, heavy thaws or large amounts of random water on the course, the course will be closed to play. The head greenkeeper will decide whether the conditions for a course closure are met.
Temporary or long-term closures of individual greens will occur if necessary to reduce wear and tear. In such cases, play will be possible on a provisional green.
No date has been set for the repeal of the winter game rules.
Daily update
The conditions on the course are closely monitored by the head greenkeeper. Information about course conditions will be updated daily on the club's website and in Golfbox. Weather conditions in particular will present challenges. If your booked tee time in golfbox is affected by a course closure, it will be deleted. You must then book a new available time (where the course is open) yourself if you wish.
Can I still be disabled?
You will NOT be able to adjust your disability throughout the winter by mat orders.
What is normal from previous winters?
Trolleys are still allowed, but scooters are not. The most important thing is to keep your distance from the greens by following the dotted lines around the greens. This reduces wear and tear.
You will still experience days and periods where the game is played without flags on the greens or rakes in bunkers, due to the wear and tear of driving on the course.
Violation of rules
The rules must be followed. If a golfer chooses not to follow the rules, it will result in expulsion from the course. For members of Copenhagen Golf Club, a violation of the rules may result in disciplinary action. For visiting players who violate the rules, their home club will be notified.
Green fee prices:
Due to the mandatory use of mats, prices are reduced as follows as of 15.11.:
Weekend: 500 kr. Everyday: 450 kr. Guest to member: 250 kr.
