100 to 70th birthday

Driving range

The Tuesday Club's birthday was held in grand style on June 5. There was a crowd at the tees when the greensomes match started at 9 a.m. on the 1st and 10th tees, respectively, and again around the wine bar on the terrace, where there was a wine tasting from ConAvec with snacks and cheeses from the Restaurant.
This laid the foundation for today's lunch, where green asparagus with shrimp and Sauce Musselin were served as a starter. The main course was baked salmon with broccoli, couscous with apricot, mint and lime, seasoned with tariaki sauce.
It all took place on the terrace, where the restaurant had beautifully set up seating for up to 100 people. Above us was a cloudless sky, and the animals were grazing on the first fairway.

88 attended the match, then another 12 came for lunch.
We had encouraged members to dress in 50s style to make the day a little special. Many had taken up that invitation, and there have never been so many sweet, fun and stylish ladies at the Hermitage. It helped make the day extra festive, and a lot of extra festive pictures will be posted on the website next week.

The birthday was celebrated with two matches. First on May 29, where 18 holes of stableford were played in the A, B and C rows and 9 holes in the 9th row. And again on June 5 with a more sociable greensome over the 9th hole – because then there was also time to party.
