There were birthday flags at the Red Gate and our head greenkeeper Martin had hoisted the Dannebrog when the Tuesday Club played the Birthday Match yesterday. We turned 71 and never before in the club's history have we had 102 participants for the match and subsequent lunch.
The match was played as a greensome over 18 holes divided into A and B rows, with a total of 78 players. The 9 row also played greensome. 24 participated.
The clouds hung heavy over the Hermitage, but fortunately the rain stopped and it finally became almost summer weather.
For lunch, the club's new signature dishes were served: home-smoked salmon with a green salad and a potato salad topped with dijonnaise.
The great prizes – jugs and flower pot covers from Kähler and glass vases from Lyngby Porcelæn – were sponsored by Rosendal Design A/S.
