Then we finally got started with the 2021 golf season. And what a start: There were 95 registered, but six dropped out at the rope, so we ended up with 89 – 13 in the A-row, 24 in the B-row, 28 in the C-row and 21 in the 9-row.
And what a weather: sunny and 18 degrees and we could hear the grass growing between the many strokes.
Due to Corona restrictions, the match was played as a regular stableford with a running start. But there had to be a bit of a party atmosphere, so the restaurant had created a delicious to-go lunch: salmon sandwiches and rosé, which most people enjoyed around the clubhouse.
Today's prizes were like our regular weekly matches: A bottle of wine for the best score in each row. But for today's occasion we had expanded the prize pool, so there was also a bottle of wine for nos. 7, 9 and 13.
