It is when things get difficult that we truly see whether our foundation is strong, whether we have solid ground under our feet despite turbulence and uncertainty.

Copenhagen Golf Club is an association where the community around golf, our course in the middle of Dyrehaven, our training opportunities and sporting results are what we are here for. It sounds simple, but it is not.

The association itself is both a strength and a weakness. Strength, because there are many of us who are involved in it, those of us who have our hearts in KGK, those of us who have our friends and best hours here. Weakness, because our emotions can overshadow the realities, the decisions we must necessarily make for the sake of the business of Copenhagen Golf Club. It is the task of the Board of Directors to balance the two things at all times.

First and foremost, to set up a team of employees who are professionally skilled, support each other, have common goals, take responsibility for the tasks and get them done. A team that, through trust and a good working environment, is happy to go to work and succeeds in giving us a good service and experience on the field as well as in the clubhouse.

Next, to have control of the cash register. We look into 2026 and 2027 with membership fees that are kept stable, with order in the economy and still room for future investments. We are reducing our debt at a rapid pace. We are in the process of a generational change in the membership side, older people are signing out, young people are joining, it balances out. But help us by telling everyone that the waiting list is gone.

Finally, members and guests have clearly shown that the 19th hole, and the view from the terrace, is an important part of the experience at KGK. We have all missed a fully functional restaurant, and it will return, as promised, in 2026 with restaurant manager Mikkel Olsen at the helm.

So we are ready to face the future. What should we keep an eye on? What should we prioritize and how? Where are we going, and what should we keep?

Thank you for your input in the member survey, thank you for your emails. With the survey as a starting point, the Board of Directors has invited members to two dialogue meetings in January, with the participation of DGU's consultant Michael Jürgensen. Here we will discuss starting times, communication, social life, tournaments and much more with representatives of different member groups.

The board has also discussed the club's future focus areas, from organization and membership to development and investments in the course and clubhouse. With an overview that clearly describes our expectations, we can, together with KGK's management and the committees, initiate concrete activities.

We look forward to seeing the results.

A very Happy New Year, may you all have a fantastic season 2026.

On behalf of the Board of Directors
