BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND COMMITTEES
The Chairman has the floor.
6. januar 2026
Dear members,
It is when things get difficult that we really see if our foundation is strong, if we have solid ground under our feet despite turbulence and uncertainty.
Copenhagen Golf Club is an association where the community around golf, our course in the middle of Dyrehaven, our training opportunities and sporting results are what we are here for.
It sounds simple, but it's not.
The association itself is both a strength and a weakness. Strength because there are many of us who are involved in it, those of us who have our hearts in KGK, those of us who have our friends and best hours here. Weakness because our emotions can overshadow the realities, the decisions we must necessarily make for the sake of the business of Copenhagen Golf Club. It is the task of the Board of Directors to balance the two things at all times.
First and foremost, to set up a team of employees who are professionally skilled, support each other, have common goals, take responsibility for the tasks and get them done. A team that, through trust and a good working environment, is happy to go to work and succeeds in giving all of us members and our guests a good service and experience on the course as well as in the clubhouse.
Next, we have quickly got the finances under control. We are entering 2026 with a membership that can be maintained, with order in the economy and still room for future investments. We are reducing our debt at a rapid pace. We are in the process of a generational change in the membership, older people are leaving, young people are joining, it is a fine balance.
Finally, members and guests have clearly shown that the 19th hole and the view from the terrace are an important part of the experience at KGK. We have all missed a fully functional restaurant, and it will return, as promised, in 2026 with a reliable restaurateur at the helm.
So we are ready to face the future. What should we keep an eye on? What should we prioritize and how? Where are we going and what should we keep?
As always, we need your input, so thank you for your engagement in the member survey, via email, and at meetings. But we need more than that.
Your efforts as members are absolutely crucial for the club to function.
Sign up as a volunteer – small or large tasks.
KGK needs you.

What we are. Who we are.
We are Scandinavia's first golf club located on the unique and historic Eremitageslette. Member or guest, the course is an experience for everyone, gives greater golfing pleasure and keeps you in better shape, because in Dyrehaven we can play all year round. Although close to the city, yet free from noise in the protected area. Enjoy the view from the terrace over the Eremitage and experience golf history in Scandinavia's first golf club, together with family and friends.
The course is designed for a wide range of handicaps, with strategic play as important as aesthetics. It will challenge you at whatever level your golf game is at, while also providing a fantastic natural experience in all seasons.
The encounter with the game of golf can become a lifelong love, balm for the soul, give you good health and expand your social network, because everyone can play against everyone. Golf can be played throughout life, there is a pleasant atmosphere in the club, and friendships are created when you enjoy yourself on the 19th hole terrace after playing and training.
It's fun to start and with the help you receive from members, coaches and secretariat you'll quickly be well underway.
For new members, KGK creates joy and networking. You feel welcome from Day 1, surrounded by kindness and happy people.
