Cancellation of the General Meeting 26.4.

board-and-committees-header

Dear members,

Unfortunately, KGK's General Assembly on April 26th has been cancelled due to the restrictions related to COVID-19. We on the Board are sincerely sorry, we had been looking forward to seeing you.

According to the club's bylaws, the General Meeting must be held before the end of April, but this is unfortunately not possible. Therefore, we are working now and going forward with the goal of securing the club's finances in the best possible way during these difficult times.
We will be conservative in launching projects unless absolutely necessary. All major initiatives will therefore have to wait until it is possible to hold a General Assembly, hopefully before the summer holidays, but it depends on the restrictions the government chooses to apply after May 10th.

We will of course have to adjust the budget we presented to you in connection with the Board's written report. We are working on a new one, which we will send out in early May.

We are very proud and happy that from the beginning of the year we have many new members, trial members and members who go from passive to active. It is very positive that so many find it attractive to play golf at Copenhagen Golf Club, and it is good for the club's finances. But of course we lack turnover in the shop and green fees, but the latter will improve as we can open up more for members to play with guests. In addition, we will look at whether we can offer you sales from the shop and restaurant in other ways. We hope that you will support these initiatives when possible. Our coaches are back again and have opened their calendars for booking - come out and fine-tune your swing.

We would like to tell you more about our plans for the course, and we have prepared a presentation for you about the work that is and will be started. We will have to wait to share it until we can hold the General Assembly.

We would also like to share our beautiful new Yearbook with you, so we will try to find a good and safe way to deliver it to you when you visit the course.

As you can see, our staff is now back at work after a period of repatriation, and it is also gratifying that we have received confirmation that we have received salary compensation for the period they have been repatriated.

We thank you many times for following the guidelines that have made it possible to keep the course open. We hope and believe that you will be just as responsible in the gradual opening that we are now undertaking.

Take good care of others and take care of yourself,

Kind regards on behalf of the Board of Directors

Birgitte Henrichsen
