COVID-19 at Copenhagen Golf Club – postponement of the Ordinary General Meeting and closure of the clubhouse

corona virus

Dear members,

With the COVID-19 threat picture, it is now clear that we cannot hold the Copenhagen Golf Club's annual general meeting as planned.

The Board of Directors has therefore decided that the general meeting will be postponed to:

Sunday, April 26th at 2 pm at Copenhagen Golf Club.

The Agenda and Report have been sent out as previously.

It is currently not possible to borrow premises from Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality. However, we will continuously look into the possibility of borrowing a larger premises in the local area, and we will also comply with the authorities' instructions in all areas.

As can be seen from the published agenda, we have two vacant board positions. Only two proposals for new members were submitted in time – namely the Board's candidates, Peter Lauritzen and Bent Allan Hansen. We have therefore invited Peter and Bent Allan to participate in the work of the Board from today. Ina Agerbæk, who is up for election, will continue. Lars Obel did not seek re-election and has resigned from the Board today. We owe Lars a very big thank you for his many years of work in several committees and on the Board.

In the material for the general meeting you can read that the Board of Directors proposes that 20 of our passive members, as a trial scheme and for an additional payment, be given the opportunity to play a number of annual rounds on the course. This initiative is within the Board of Directors' authority and is now being implemented, so that members who wish to take advantage of the opportunity will be included from the start of the season.

Otherwise, we hope you will take the time to read the Annual Report. Please consider whether you have anything under the item Any questions and send us an email, and we will prepare a response for you at the general meeting. You will have to wait to pick up the 2020 Yearbook until conditions have become more normal.

Because you will have to fend for yourself if you want to play a round. For the safety of both you, your guests and your employees, we do not think it is safe to staff the restaurant and shop. Therefore, we are closing the clubhouse except for the locker room from today until March 30, as we are advised to do. The office will be operated by email and telephone from a private address. Check-in for guests can be seen at the entrance to the locker room, where everyone is encouraged to use hand sanitizer.

Sign in when changing clothes. Remember to use hand sanitizer.

It's true that we've gotten off to a good start financially, but without income from sales and with cancelled company days, the picture could quickly look different.

This is one of several good reasons why we will inform you continuously and more frequently in the coming time. We are in the process of modernizing the website, and there will also be access to news here. And otherwise – please write and ask.

The board consults with legal expertise and we follow DGU's instructions - in addition to those we all follow from the Prime Minister.

If it turns out that COVID-19 means that the general meeting cannot be held within the statutes, i.e. before the end of April, there is a new situation where the Board of Directors will look after the club's interests within the budget that has been presented. This means that we are required to lead conservatively and cautiously and refrain from taking initiatives of a significant nature unless these are urgent.

But until we hopefully see each other again soon: Take care of others and take care of yourself.

Kind regards, on behalf of the Board of Directors

Birgitte Henrichsen

Chairman
