It is with great pleasure that we can announce the employment of Fredrik Sandberg and Tobias Lindström.
I am very pleased to announce that we have succeeded in finding the new restaurateurs who will take over from Richard in the 2017 season. They are a Swedish couple consisting of childhood friends, Fredrik Sandberg (38) and Tobias Lindström (36). Fredrik and Tobias have a combined experience of more than 30 years in the restaurant industry. Tobias has experience from Gothenburg and Stockholm Edsviken Golf Clubs, among others. In recent years, they have lived in Copenhagen where they have worked as Chefs at Vespa (Italian) and lalala (French), respectively.
The hiring committee had several competent candidates for interview, but Fredrik and Tobias' skills, energy, vision and passion were decisive for the choice. They are very impressed by KGK's history and our beautiful surroundings. With their focus on quality, accommodating members of all ages, and cooking from scratch at a reasonable price, we found them to be the ideal profiles to further develop the restaurant in KGK.
They themselves state the following about what we as members can expect from them:

We will deliver food from scratch with an ecological and sustainable mindset. Förvänta is classic food with a modern touch. We will let the surroundings be reflected in the food and create a fantastic atmosphere in the restaurant. Our ambition is of course to create the best golf restaurant!"
Fredrik and Tobias will start as restaurateurs in KGK on 1.2.2017, where they will have the opportunity to receive practical experience from Richard for the first two months. The time until the start of the season will also be used to talk to suppliers, implement new initiatives and have the opportunity to greet all the lovely guests who visit us over the winter.
Richard's farewell reception is still scheduled for Sunday, March 26, 2017. The following Sunday, our new restaurateurs will be officially introduced to the General Assembly on Sunday, April 2, where they will host a light meal before the AGM begins. You will receive more information about this when the notice of the AGM is sent out.
