On Tuesday, August 18, the KGK course took the 72 ladies who participated in this year's Open Ladies Day by storm. In any case, it was so windy that the balls could hardly lie still on, among other things, the 11th green. Even the red deer and fallow deer from the zoo had taken shelter around the edges of the forest.

But the sun was high, the course was beautifully set up, and the atmosphere was good all day. There were 32 guests from 16 different clubs, who, together with the 40 KGK members, played stableford in two rows. There were prizes for the top 10 in each row and for closest to the flag on the 12th and 16th holes and longest drive on the 17th hole.
Golfino, which opened its flagship store at Jægersborg Allé 27 at the beginning of the year, was the main sponsor with gift certificates of DKK 2,500, DKK 1,500 and DKK 1,000 respectively for the three best scores in the A and B rows, as well as 8 raffle prizes from the international fashion brand specializing in golf clothing.
The fact that the course doesn't get any easier the more windy it is was evident from today's score. Most of the prize-winning positions were occupied by home club players. Perhaps they were more used to the strong wind and knew to keep the ball low.
Still, the winner in the A-row was Marianne Hemmingsen from Hedeland GK with 33 points. No. 2 Anita Näsberg and Kirsten Lyngby, both KGK, also got 33 points, but Marianne was the best among them, and Anita was better than Kirsten on the last even holes.
The B-series was won by Eva Bramsnæs with 39 points. No. 2 was Ingerlise Randow with 34 points and No. 3 was Lone Bech with 33 points. All from KGK

The winners of the longest drive, on hole 17 and closest on holes 12 and 16, each received a beautiful Kay Bojesen songbird, sponsored by Lotte Boyesen Fischer, granddaughter of the famous silversmith and designer.
The longest drive in the A-row was Anne Cathrine Rosenørn-Lehn and in the B-row it was Pernille Sagild from Kokkedal who won.
Closest on hole 12, 1.2 m. from the flag was Mette Toftegaard, KGK. On hole 16, Lone Bech won, whose ball was 2.25 m. from the hole.
