.Friendly matches on June 8, 9 and 20
June has been a busy month for several years with 3 friendly matches, in addition to the regular weekly matches. But what the heck, we can sleep when we get old.

The first match was a friendly match with Rungsted away from home on June 8th. There was room for 12 teams and they were quickly filled. It was a happy reunion with Rungsted for many, and a good experience for those whose visit was the first. Despite a diligent effort by the Tuesday Club ladies, we unfortunately only won one out of 11 matches, so the result was 10-1. It was Anette Brock and Annette Suhr who won 2/0. However, that did not dampen the mood at the following lunch. We look forward to seeing the Trekroner ladies at the Eremitagen in 2024.

Friday, June 9th, several of the ladies got up early yet again to be ready at the 1st tee at 9:00 a.m. when Old Boys and Tirsdagsklubben played a friendly match with Hornbæk. KGK won 8.5 to 6.5.

The last friendly match of this season was played Tuesday, June 20, where we had a visit from Gilleleje. For some strange reason they have had the cup for the last 3 years, but we finally got it back home, by winning 5/4. Two matches were drawn and one match was abandoned due to illness. The best team from Copenhagen was Ingelise Randow and Annette Suhr, who won 2/0.

There was also a good atmosphere around the lunch table, where they offered a salad bowl with couscous and tuna goma dressing, followed by an equally delicious rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream, plus a cup of coffee.
