On August 27, the Tuesday Club took an advance on this year's Solheim Cup, which will be played this coming weekend in the USA – from September 12 to 15. If you want a great golf experience, follow the matches on TV.
While there is competition for places at the real Solheim Cup, interest in our domestic edition, which was played on Tuesday, August 27, was initially limited.
But a great effort from Anita attracted many people, so on the day itself 36 players showed up. So the match was turned into a success.
After an ingenious game plan, first the pairs and then the teams were given the advantage, so we ended up with 9 teams in the pink row and 9 teams in the white row, respectively.
The first 6 holes are played as Foursome, the next 6 Bestball, while the last 6 holes are played as singles matches.
There was excitement until the end, as the score between the two teams was equal. But on the last ball, the pink team won, so the result was 18.5 against the whites' 17.5. It couldn't have been closer. It should also be added that the weather was another glorious summer day.
Only a few played 18 holes, while there were 20 participants in the 9-hole round.
