So we started the 2026 season – and what an opening we were blessed with. High blue skies, lots of sun and almost no wind – at least to start with. Most people made it around in the allotted 3 hours, but some took up to 30 minutes more and those in question should have a talk with themselves about that, because if you can't play 12 holes in 3 hours, you can't play 18 holes in 4.5 hours!

We had 12 teams – 11 with 4 players and 1 with 3 players.

During lunch, the board had invited our new head greenkeeper Nicolai Klithammer to talk about the work on the course and with a focus on bunkers. It was very interesting to hear how much work goes into looking after and caring for bunkers and how annoying it is for the staff to experience how the animals do not appreciate their great work 🙂

Hornbaek May 29
We have finally received the price for this year's match with Hornbæk in Hornbæk and we will pay a total of 495 DKK for green fee + lunch (2 sandwiches). See the attached invitation and register in GolfBox. You are only registered once you have paid.
KGK Festival Week
KGK is doing a repeat of the Jubilee Week from 2023 and has asked each club-in-the-club to host a match. We have been assigned Friday, August 14th and we will probably do a Greensome Match – for both 18 and 9 holes. In order for it to run as smoothly as possible organizationally, we will probably ask the 9 holes to play Bagni – holes 10-18.
Later in the day, the plan is to do, for example, gin tasting and "To Tosser På Tur" will come and play and the day will end with dinner, where there will also be prize presentations.
The intention is that you will be able to register for all of the week's matches and we are sure that everyone will have an enjoyable KGK Festweek.
Formuepleje has been very understanding and has agreed to move their match to September 18th.

April 22nd marks the 60th birthday of member 1-10 Henrik Iwersen.
On April 26th, member 1-34 Theis Jensen turns 80 years old.
On April 26th, member 1-2385 Kenneth Troedsson turns 80 years old.
Month of April
Next month features the 1st round of the Tee Championship from Tee 61, a Stableford Match and the first Modified Stroke Play of the season + 4-7-9.
