The hunting season has begun.

The hunting season has started in Dyrehaven on September 1. More than 700 animals are shot each year.

Many of the deer are shot close to the range. It can be a violent experience to see a deer being shot, but it is a natural part of the operation of the Deer Park.

The hunters are skilled and have a very high level of professional experience, so they know what they are dealing with.

Hunting in the Deer Park has three exemptions from the Hunting Act:

  1. Deer and calves may be shot until March 15th.
  2. Shooting from a car is allowed.
  3. A smaller caliber bullet is used so that the bullet stays inside the animal.
