August starts with the Danish Championship for our best men and women, so the run-up to this big event has started here in the latter half of July with the preparation of the course. Then the Danish Tournament follows in the middle of the month and both an open Men's and Women's Day and several company days are held. So August will be busy.

In week 30, the greens and foregreens have been vertically cut and topdressed, and all bunkers have been cut, trimmed and filled with sand in the missing places.

Week 31 is a finishing week where the mowing frequencies on all turf areas are set up. The plan is that the greens, surrounds, tees and fairways will be mowed every day and the semi-rough twice. The greens will also be drummed every day. The afternoons will be used for trimming of course markings, sprinkler heads, minor repairs etc. – all the small tasks that give the final finish. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the fairways will be mowed in the afternoon (a few hours after the last start), so expect a little wait time during your round of golf and remember to make room for the greenkeepers.

Once the Danish Championship is over, the last group of greenkeeping staff will be on summer vacation. Week 32 will therefore be a quiet week with no major maintenance work on the course other than routine tasks.

In week 33, we prepare the course for the final rounds of the Danish tournament with a topdress on the greens and foregreens. This work is always done on Monday or Tuesday, depending on the weather.

There are currently no course work planned that will disrupt play in the latter part of August.
