After a year and a half of Corona restrictions, the Tuesday Club was able to go on an excursion again, and again this year to Ljunghusen – our friendship club in Skåne. Unfortunately, we only had 28 participants because many cancellations came in. We were originally supposed to have been 36, so to fill the places, we invited new members and other players in KGK – for a fee, of course.
We had time to shop and putt before the gun start at 11 am and the weather was perfect with sun and only a little wind. We were warmly welcomed and there was a gun start in the literal sense of the word. A rocket was put in the small cannon that stands at the first hole.
After the match, which was played on Ljunghusen's 9 old holes and 9 new ones, there was lunch and an award ceremony before the trip home.
There were low scores in both the A and B series, and the three best results of the day were:
A-row: No. 1 Mihoko Winther 38 points. No. 2 Lotte Fischer 37 points. No. 3 Anita Näsberg 35 points.
B-row: No. 1 Kirsten Dalgaard 35 points No. 2 Anne Hjort 34 points No. 3 Lise Neukirch 31 points.
The prizes – Aperol for No. 1 and wine for 2 and 3 – were awarded in the form of a gift certificate that can be exchanged for the real thing one of the coming Tuesdays.
At home at the Hermitage Golf was also played. 34 were on the starting list, but only 20 submitted scorecards. There will be no prizes.
The best results in 18 holes were Karen Taarnhøj with 36 points, second place Karen Grundsøe with 34 points and Anne Victor with 32 points in the B-row. Else Ankerstjerne in the 9-row got 18 points.
Birgit has the scorecards, so let me know if you want them entered.
