Life in Old Boys in December 1 of 2

IMG_8393

A Christmas expert, yes, there are such people, says that you say "Merry Christmas" in the run-up to December 24th and only on December 24th do you say "Merry Christmas" - so the entire board wishes you all a real "Merry Christmas" 😊

Quota payment 2026 deadline is December 31st

As of today, Saturday, December 20, we have received payments from 75 members and we are sure that there will be many more during the rest of the year. Several who play in the Winter Tournament have not yet paid.

400 kr. – Nordea Bank: 2135 5363344048.

Please, please. not write your name on the payment – just your membership number.

Alternatively, you can use MobilePay. #66430 – it costs us a fee, so we prefer bank transfer.

Status Winter Tournament

The tournament is well underway and several are either finished or very close to finishing. See results in the attached document.

Old Boys Golf Trip 2026 to Italy – 1 place available

Invitations to this year's golf trip were sent out on Saturday afternoon, November 29th at 4:30 PM along with the Monthly News for November and Sunday morning the trip was sold out. Monday morning we tried to get 4 more places and luckily we succeeded. So 19 Old Boys can look forward to a wonderful golf trip to Northern Italy in September next year. If you didn't have time to register, there is still one more spot for quick registration..

Farewell to Martin

Martin Nilsson had invited us all to a farewell reception on December 3rd and many had decided that they should – because there were so many people and it was impossible to park close to Strandmøllekroen if you wanted to park legally! Around 2:50 PM Martin gave a short farewell speech, which ended with a standing ovation from the guests. Martin will certainly be missed in KGK……..

Problems with Nordea

Unfortunately, we have recently had a number of problems with the association's bank, Nordea, as they have sent us digital mail in Nordea Erhverv, which we do not have access to! This is because the bank did not think it was necessary, even though we are a voluntary association. Nevertheless, in the autumn they wrote to us in Nordea Erhverv and we have not responded to the inquiries for good reasons, because we did not have access to this part of the bank.

This resulted in the bank closing our account in November because we did not respond to their inquiries, so we could not pay bills – but fortunately we could still receive your payments.

Nordea only reopened our account on December 18. We will decide at the next board meeting whether to find another bank for our association.

We will send out another Newsletter around New Year with a status of how many will be participating in 2026.
