Opening match 2022
As hoped in the last infomail, the sunny weather from March continued on April 1, where the weather showed its best side in terms of dry weather, but it was a bit chilly to play the 12 holes in the Opening Match 2022 due to the cold wind. We ended up with 8 teams of 4 players and managed to get all teams in within 3.5 hours – probably just over the limit in terms of time, so that needs to be worked on, namely playing faster. It is also completely in line with KGK's new spirit of faster rounds, so that more people can come out and play. The winners of the year's absolute best prize – an annual quota – were the following happy members:

How these 4 good players could end up on the same team is a mystery that only GolfBox can answer 😊
The board of directors congratulates the winning team on their great victory.
Result Winter tournament 2021/2022
In connection with the Opening Match, we presented prizes to the winners of the Winter Tournament: Jan S. Hummer in the C-row, Finn Skovgård in the B-row and Michael Gerlif in the A-row, the 2 of them received the traditional whiskey, a Highland Park Single Malt, while Jan Hummer had to 'make do' with a bottle of red wine because the C-row only had 6 players. Here is a photo of 2 of the 3 happy winners (Jan Hummer had left before the photographer arrived)

Rules for Old Boys games in 2022
We have chosen to repeat the rules from last month, as we already experienced on April 8 that some people could not remember that even though you have a starting time of 09:10, you must be ready for your starting hole at 08:55 – just as not everyone was aware that you were not allowed to keep your own scorecard. We have also added a completely new rule no. 9½ 🙂
1: We play in 3 rows: A + B + C. The A row plays from tee 57 – the B row plays from tee 52 – the C row (9 holes) from tee 49 and tee 52 on the last Friday of each month. You choose which row you want to play in each week. The deadline for registration is Wednesday morning at 08:00.
2: Players with a handicap of >40 may only play 9 holes.
3: There are 17 rounds this year that count towards this year's Order of Merit. No. 1 in each of the 17 matches gets 6 points, No. 2 gets 4 points, No. 3 gets 3 points, etc. In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the player with the most 1st places wins. If the result is still tied, the most 2nd places count, and then the most 3rd places.
4: In this year's Tee Championship, the result after each match is calculated in Stableford points and the winner is the one who achieves the highest overall score - after deducting the worst result.
5: In all matches, the lowest handicap wins in the event of a tie. If there are still two equal scores, the last 9, 6, 3 and final hole count.
6: We play with dropping rule E-5 in all matches
7: In all Gun starts you must be ready The teeing ground on its starting hole no later than 08:55. This also applies to any later starts on the same hole. – e.g. 09:10 and 09:20 – which must also be ready no later than 08:55 so that they do not bother those who are hitting from the teeing ground.
8: In all Gunstarts, you must be present after the match to receive the prize, which otherwise goes to the club. At the Running Start on the last Friday of each month, the vice-chairman will arrange for the prize to be awarded to the winners.
9: Other players and any green fee guests who have left early in the morning and who have played holes 1-14 have priority on holes 15-18 – so they must be closed through before starting on the holes in question.
9½: Remember, you can search for your ball in the rough for a maximum of 3 minutes, and this also applies if all players have hit their ball in the rough, so the maximum search time for the entire team is 3 minutes!
10: Your scorecard must be kept by a marker/opponent (i.e. you do not fill it out yourself!) – after the round, the scorecard must be signed by the marker and player and the result must be written in the top right box marked “result” – before it must be handed in to the office. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
11: You can win the match every week, but you can only receive a prize 2 times in a row. The third time the prize goes to the second place winner.
Play well!
