As mentioned in the chairman's report at the general meeting back in October, we have had to focus on slow play and non-compliance with the basic rules of golf. At the board meeting here in January, we decided that in 2024 we will observe who the culprits are before taking action in 2025.
Poul Birch will be the board's contact regarding the subject, so if you experience players who do not comply with the basic golf rules, please contact Poul. If this happens again, the board will decide on a sanction for the player(s) in question.

At a meeting on January 18, the board of directors constituted itself as follows:

2024 Old Boys Game Rules
The board has created rules for games in the new season – see HEREEveryone who registers for matches during the season will, by registering, accept the rules and that they will follow them.
New registration deadline in 2024
From the start of the new season, the last registration deadline on Wednesdays will be changed from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. See the annual program here
We and the Office expect that this change will eliminate the forgetful ones from bothering the Office with all possible and impossible excuses for why they did not register before the deadline.
Simgolf – January 19
We had been exceptionally allowed to play in 3-ball. This meant that we could have a maximum of 21 participants – and that was us. We had 5 who would have liked to have joined, but they will have to wait until another good time.
We met and were introduced by Niels Walløe, the club's treasurer – who already plays Simgolf once a week during the winter months – followed by breakfast.
After that, we played a match on the Arthur Hills at The Highlands course, which is an American course.
We had agreed that the match would end after the number of holes that those who had played the fewest holes had played and it turned out to be 11 holes – several managed to play all 18 holes. The winners were (all with 18 points): Michael Laursen, Nils Juhl Andreasen and Niels Kofoed, who all received a prize certificate for a bottle of wine.
Simgolf gave us an offer for membership at half price = 450 DKK for half a year. In addition, there is a course rental per session, where you get a discount on the hourly rate.
If you did not participate and would like to become a member, please contact the chairman.
We are thinking that next winter we will do one day of Simgolf every month during the winter months exclusively for Old Boys.

Steen will have a new knee on March 20th at Gentofte, so he will be absent this side of the summer.

Winner wines
The board has started purchasing your winning wines and has so far purchased 120 bottles of red wine and 18 bottles of white wine. In total, we expect to purchase around 180 bottles of wine in the 2024 season.
