The first month after the general meeting is always a quiet one and it can sometimes be difficult for the editorial team to find material for our monthly information, but despite that fact, we think we have still managed to get some interesting information in here in November. We hope you agree? 🙂
The chairman has been with KGK Erhvervsklub in Mallorca for 4 days and played 4 exciting courses, and Mallorca in particular has been in the chairman's mind as a destination for a 2024 Old Boys Golf trip, so it couldn't be a better fit - and certainly an advantage that the chairman could check if it was also such a good place to travel to in 2024? More about the chairman's trip below.
"I don't play slow - the others must be!"
As stated in the chairman's report last month, in the coming season we will focus on slow play. Everyone believes that they are not the reason why things sometimes go too slowly - but there is something to be said! Take our Closing Match for example. Here everyone started almost at the same time - but the individual teams did not come in almost at the same time!
2 teams were in before 11:30 – 7 teams were in before 12:00 – but the last 4 teams were only in a little after 12:30 – so 4 teams have spent more than 30-60 minutes extra playing the same 12 holes as everyone else. This can only be because you are looking for balls for more than 3 minutes and do not use the drop rule E5.
Status of membership payments
By the end of October, we had already received 22 payments and so far in November, another 20 have arrived – so we have now received dues from a total of 42 members – of which 3 are new members!

The Chairman's journey with KGK Business Club
We stayed at the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel right next to the Son Vida course, but only played one course out of 3 in the area (Son Muntaner). We played a total of 4 courses in Mallorca of very high quality.
We ate every night in Palma and that provided a lot of bus transportation. We were blessed with a strong wind of between 14-16 m/s, so it was almost like playing on the Hermitage Plain 😊
However, the weather was otherwise nice, with sun and only a few clouds – but possible to play in shorts.
Chairman's proposal for an Old Boys 2024 Trip 5-9 October
Mallorca is not a cheap destination, but there are some super good golf courses – and just as important: Lovely and good restaurants 🙂
The chairman recommends that we live in the city of Palma, so we also avoid having to take the bus to dinner in the evening, but instead can walk to dinner and back again when we get tired and want to go to bed.

All 3 courses require bus transport as they are located south and east of Palma respectively.
The chairman's suggestions for restaurants: OMBU Born, Patron Lunares, Tast Club, La Bodequilla.
The chairman has been planning for a while and has managed to get a room at the desired hotel in Palma and only a few small things are missing before an invitation can be sent out.
Registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Max 16 players. But more on that next week.
Status Winter Tournaments
By the end of the registration period, there were 11 registrations for the A-row and 10 for the B-row, and the tournament started on November 7th.

Next month, the info email will be sent out before the 24th and in mid-January an additional email will be sent out with a status of the number of members in 2024 and at the same time you will receive the 2024 Annual Plan and 2024 Game Rules.
