It rained not just once, but 5 times in the space of 5 hours when the Tuesday Club held Open Ladies Day 2019 the other day (13/8). But even 14 millimeters of rain couldn't stop the ladies. Everyone made it. It wasn't until the winners were photographed that the rain stopped and the sun came back.
There were 100 registered, including 32 from KGK and 68 from 29 different clubs. This is something of a record. We received great praise for the course, the restaurant and the good atmosphere.
The match was played as a stableford in 2 rows with prizes for the 10 best scores in each row. The main sponsor was Thomtex home textiles and the first prize was a terry bathrobe, towels and bed linen in cotton satin. The 2nd prize was a bathrobe and 2 bath towels. The 3rd prize was a dress and polo from Golfino. The 4th prize was 2 x salad cutlery from Kay Bojesen.
As an extra bonus, there was a grand prize – a trip for two to Mauritius – sponsored by Profil Rejser. It was won by Birgit Grubbe from Søllerød.
Many thanks to today's sponsors: Thomtex, Golfino, Kay Bojesen, Deli-drengene, De 5 Gaarde and Profil Rejser. Also many thanks to everyone at KGK – the greenkeepers, the restaurant and the pro shop – for helping to run the day.
