Scandinavia's first golf club welcomes new membersn
Copenhagen Golf Club (KGK) has always been sought after with its very special location and its proud history, and KGK has maintained that position by constantly investing in facilities and activities. Right now, for the first time in many years, there is no waiting list, and new members are joining.
There are approximately 1100 members in KGK with golfers of all ages and handicap levels. The club places great emphasis on being a family club, where children, parents and grandparents can meet in a cozy community, where everyone greets each other. Golf is one of the few leisure interests where we have fun together and maybe even compete on equal terms, regardless of age, gender and skills.

KGK is accepting new members from until January 1, 2020, which is a unique opportunity, as the club has previously had a waiting period of more than 10 years for membership. You can secure a place for 2020 or later if you sign up for the club's waiting list by contacting the secretariat at kgk@kgkgolf.dk.
The golf course is surrounded by the fantastic nature and wildlife of Dyrehaven. Close to the city, yet far away from the hustle and bustle. The course naturally blends into the landscape and provides a links-inspired experience that is an experience for players of all levels. At KGK we can play on real greens twelve months a year, and there is therefore activity in the club all year round. Summer and winter there is life in the cozy restaurant with a cozy wood-burning stove and a view over the 1st and 18th tees. It is possible to get a tee time most days of the week, partly because there is a limited number of clubs in the club, and partly because we have chosen to make room for spontaneous golf games.
At KGK we are proud of our large junior section with around 115 girls and boys under the age of 18. The juniors are important to the club, they create a good foundation for the future, and that is why we ensure an attractive junior membership, which includes, among other things, a weekly joint training session, a weekly Thursday match and three annual junior camps where the children gather. The summer camp in particular is a huge success, where more than 60 children have fun over 5 days and become good friends, while becoming even more skilled at golf.
Our Intro department makes sure that you feel very welcome as a new member. We have a well-functioning and well-tested process that naturally makes new members become part of the community. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or you are completely new to the sport and need to borrow clubs to get started, KGK can meet your wishes from day one.
Prices and membership
Membership is divided into five categories and with the following annual dues for 2020:
- Full-time (from 26 years) DKK 8,200.
- Weekday member DKK 5,825
- Young senior (from 19-25 years old, or up to 30 years old if you are eligible for SU) DKK 5,100.
- Junior (up to and including 18 years) 2,600 kr.
- Passive membership 1,100 DKK.
We offer free games for the rest of 2019 upon binding registration as of January 1, 2020.
It is KGK's ambition that the annual membership fee should be attractive compared to other golf clubs in the area. Our membership fee has been equal to or lower for many years thanks to solid finances through a stable membership.
When you accept membership of Copenhagen Golf Club, a deposit of DKK 15,000 must be paid. The deposit can also be paid over either 3 years (DKK 5,500/year) or 5 years (DKK 3,500/year), if desired.
If you become a member, the club's employees will show you around and afterwards we will offer you a cup of coffee, preferably on the beautiful terrace with a view of the 1st and 18th holes.
You will find the club's coaches at the club every day of the week, and our office and shop are open during the season Monday-Thursday from 07:30-17:30, Friday 07:30-16:30 and weekends from 07:30-15:00.
