The area around Copenhagen Golf Club included on the UNESCO World Heritage List

Driving range

It is a great honor and pleasure for KGK to be part of the UNESCO World Heritage List as of July 2015.

In early July 2015, the part of Dyrehaven known as Christian V's forests was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is a great honor that Copenhagen Golf Club is located in the middle of this area, and it emphasizes how unique an experience it is to play golf in Dyrehaven.

The area was once established as a parforce hunting landscape so that Christian V could have the best parforce hunt. A form of hunting where riders and dogs hunt a red deer to exhaustion, after which the king or the most distinguished guest kills the animal with a sword or spear.

The entire area includes the parforce forests from the southern part of Gribskov, Store Dyrehave and Jægersborg Hegn up to and including Dyrehave.
