The course is open – for members only

bunker-9

Dear Members,

Thank you for your understanding that we had to close the opportunity to play on our lovely golf course in Dyrehaven for a short period of time.

DGU has again discussed the closure of the Danish golf courses and on Tuesday afternoon came up with new guidelines that open up the possibility of playing on the course under the same restrictions as those we previously introduced in KGK. https://www.danskgolfunion.dk/artikel/dgu-golfklubbers-faciliteter-og-aktiviteter-bør-fortsat-være-lukkede-private-bolde-kan-gå-en (see link below for DGU's recommended guidelines).

We will therefore open for play on the course on Wednesday, April 1st at 8:00. All weekdays until April 13th will only be opened for play from 8:00, so that our greenkeepers have a head start while they are working with reduced staff. We would like to emphasize that there are many guests in Dyrehaven these days, and that it is the golfers' responsibility to familiarize themselves with all blind holes before teeing off, and to hold back for animals, forest visitors, etc. passing through the golf course area.

All tee times will be removed, so all 6 times in each hour can be booked until April 13th for a maximum of two people at each tee time. Remember that you are NOT allowed to book at other people's tee times, unless it is a family member or a regular playing partner. The administration will monitor this continuously.

Furthermore, as before, the following applies:

- MAX. 2 PERSONS PER START TIME,
-MEMBERS ONLY GAMES,
-GIVE THE PUT WITHIN 1 METER,
-ONLY SHOW UP IF YOU HAVE BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE,
-ATTEND AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE START AND GO HOME IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ROUND
-CONFIRM YOUR TIME VIA GOLFBOX APP. See instructions and link to download Golfbox App here: https://www.kgkgolf.dk/bekraeft-din-tid-med-golfbox-app/
KEEP A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF 2M FROM OTHER PLAYERS, ETC. AND AVOID GATHERING ON TEE POINTS AND GREENS.
-ALL INDOOR FACILITIES AND TRAINING FACILITIES CLOSED
SHOW CONSIDERATION AND KEEP YOUR DISTANCE.

REMEMBER THAT GOVERNMENT AND AUTHORITY RESTRICTIONS STILL APPLY

There will be no flags on the greens or rakes in bunkers. Pinsheets can be downloaded from the club's website under "course". We will either use shallow holes (similar to a putting green), or holes raised 2cm above the edge, where the ball is in the hole when it hits the holes. You "tear" the bunker with your foot, and you play with lay-ups also in bunkers. Of course, there can be not handicaps are adjusted during this period, where putts are given and the hole cups are possibly lifted.

The following are the rules for booking appointments: until 13.4. (with possibility of extension):

  • You can book appointments 5 days in advance.
  • You can have a maximum of 2 booked times. simultaneously
  • You can only book a new appointment 20 hours after your last appointment.
  • A maximum of 2 people can be booked per starting time.
  • It is not permitted to book into someone else's time slot, unless the person is a family member or regular playing partner.

Access to the clubhouse, changing rooms, toilets and backroom will remain closed. It will be possible to pick up bags on Monday 6.4. between 15:00-16:00, by contacting Christian Tage Hansen in advance (reply to this email), so that not too many people show up at the same time.

The board would like to emphasize that these rules MUST be followed. We hope that you will keep a close eye on and guide each other so that the joy of the game does not run away with you - with the risks of infection that follow. If we are not careful, we may be forced to close again. Should there be members who deliberately violate the rules, for example. by going with more than two people in a ball, not keeping their distance, or not keeping to the appointment, this may result in quarantine for the person or persons concerned.

Although it is tempting to play golf, it may be better for yourself and others to stay home. So be responsible and do not go if you are in doubt or showing signs of illness.

Take good care of others, keep your distance and take care of yourself,

Kind regards

on behalf of the Board of Directors

Birgitte Henrichsen
Chairman
