We are entering the time of year when there is hardly a greenkeeper in the country who is not busy dotting, reseeding and top dressing the playing surfaces of the golf courses. Because the time is perfect for establishing grass. The ground is warm, there is enough moisture and the care pressure will slowly decrease throughout September, so that the small grass plants can more easily survive in competition with the other more well-established grasses and the greenkeeper's daily space.
We are not the exception:
Next week (week 35) the Par 3 course's greens will be patched.
In week 36 (September 2nd to 4th), the greens and green surroundings of the main course will be patched. It is planned that we will take 6 holes per day and that the work will be carried out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday depending on the weather. Expect major disruption to the playing surface while the work is carried out. Abnormal playing surfaces will occur for 7-10 days afterwards.
Fairways are also reseeded in September, but this will not interfere.
